Nandish – The Architect of Bengaluru Ganeshotsav

S.M.Nandish

Bengaluru Ganeshotsava is an event that most of Bangaloreans look forward to during Ganesha Chaturti. The fact that it is the Golden Jubilee year of celebration itself speaks volumes about the history and people behind this mega event that enthralls thousands of people with professionally managed stage shows of music and cultural programmes.

Started 50 years ago, the association has come of age and taken a professional shape under the dynamic leadership Nandish, a young event management expert who took the ‘Bengaluru Ganeshotsava’ to greater heights in recent years.

Hailing from a business family, S. M. Nandish is the second son of industrialist Sri. A. Mariyappa Smt. Jayarathnamma. Brother of Manjula and Dr. Ramesh who is practicing in USA, Nandish studied in Nivedita school and graduated in science from V.V.Puram College.

Swimming, Cricket, Trekking and NCC have been his major interests. He was the cadet leader of Karnataka-Goa NCC team during his college days and won the Gold medal in the shooting section in NCC.

Although Nandish started managing his father’s business after his graduation, he took keen interest in the area of event management and got involved deeply in it. He tried many new experiments and varieties in his events that brought him recognition and laurels.

Nandish took everybody by surprise when he successfully conducted a memorable event on the occasion of his father’s 60th birthday. His meticulous planning, organizing skills and taste were at display during the event, which were appreciated by all the participants. He never takes anything to chance when it comes to execution of any event. Thorough planning, execution and preparedness for any unforeseen trouble have brought him success and fame.

Encouraged by his initial success, he founded his own company, ‘Reach Events’. He has conducted many mega events under well known platforms across the country. His talents came to further limelight when he conducted some mega events for IBM, Cadem, Phillips, MEG, Johnson & Johnson etc. Today, Nandish is well known in the EM circles for managing mega events all over the country that is marked by professionalism and quality.

As the Managing Trustee of Shri Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha of Basavanagudi, he has been organizing a variety of cultural programmes under the title ‘Bengaluru Ganeshotsava’ at A.P.S college and Nationsl College grounds. Being the 50th year of the Sangha, this year’s event has many special features and programmes to satisfy the expecting audience.
Hard work, perseverance and a zeal to achieve success have made Nandish what he is today. A stickler for time, he works rounds the clock encouraging his colleagues and getting things in place for the events. No wonder, his success is a case study and he himself is a role model for aspiring young entrepreneurs.
