A deliberately executed porn film, which never gets the nod of censor board to be released and therefore does not boast to the hypocrisy of sugar-coating sex with the facade of storytelling, is definitely a bigger feat and a solace for the adult audience than Jism 2. Sunny Leone looks better and far more natural in what she is otherwise best in – mainstream porn movies. But Pooja Bhatt’s fifth directorial venture is more of weak storyline, bare backs, bare many things, boring scenes and ridiculous dialogues.

The movie has nothing much to offer. Even sex which can be many things from exciting to dirty finally seems boring in this latest Bollywood flick. But there is a lot of clever marketing in it that will guarantee its successful run as everyone is raring to watch Jism 2. Everyone will come out realising the film actually had nothing to watch unless you count Sunny whose wardrobe stays at ‘see-level’ at all times, no matter what the mood of a scene is. The plot of the movie has seemingly got the elements needed for an erotic thriller like Basic Instinct but as they run it through the audience, well, more of a yawn. Sunny Leone as Isna is a wannabe starlet working in Mumbai.

She falls in love with Kabir (Randeep Hooda), a police officer who abandons her for a secret mission. Five years later, we meet Ayaan (Arunoday Singh) and Guru (Arif Zakaria), Intelligence Bureau officials who use Isna, by now a porn star, to get to Kabir, who is now a criminal in hiding, responsible for masterminding terrorist acts that have killed many. The story then treads to a climax elevated with disguise, murders and unreciprocated love and after the 2 hour movie; the audience better sigh and leave the theatre with a better affection for its first part, the Bipasha Basu starrer Jism.

Sunny’s character is very woody and artificial and delivers her part of silly dialogues so carefully making it all the more synthetic. Her character Isna being a porn star is secondary in the film as it adds nothing to the story, except being used to justify why she has sex with every man she is with. Arunoday Singh and Randeep Hooda could act better. But under such unfortunate circumstances, they chose to focus on physique displays most of the time rather than delivering some good performance.

This so called adult movie have many dim witted and ridiculously amateurish scenes like the one were Sunny handles a love letter to Hooda written in some stupid orange ink, which he treats as some great piece of courtship achievement. Pooja’s effort under her dad Mahesh Bhatt’s banner is a total let down. Music by Arko Pravo Mukherjee and Mithoon is average and better suits to be played at a spa. The film is brilliantly shot by Nigam Bomzan, though. Sorted through the Sunny hype, the film has nothing worth to be mentioned erotic or thrilling.
