Huawei to launch Ascend Y200 and G300 in India

Huawei, the Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer is planning to hit the Indian market with two new Android smartphones this month, entry-level Y200 and mid-range G300. These are part of Ascend series from the same company. At the entry level, Y200 features Android 2.3 with 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon Cortex-A5 processor. It has 256 MB of RAM and also features Aderno 200 graphics processing unit. It also comes with 3.15 megapixel primary camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB port, 1250 mAh battery, 3.5 inch touchscreen and upto 32 GB of expandable memory slot. G300 which is considered to be an improved version of the Y200 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and is powered by a much better 1GHz processor. It has 512MB of RAM, 4-inch of touchscreen and 5MP auto focus camera. Like Y200, Huawei’s G300 also supports Bluetooth, W-Fi and micro USB port for connectivity. However, nothing has been said about pricing right now and will be revealed most probably at the time of the launch.
