Canon brings to India its EOS 650D; as a successor to its much successful EOS 600D. This 18 megapixel DSLR camera features a CMOS sensor at 3:2 aspect ratio. The camera comes with an intuitive set-shoot-view vari-angle 3 inch TFT colour LCD touch screen monitor and a hybrid CMOS AF system. Its eye-level pentamirror viewfinder sports a fixed, precision matte focusing screen and a quick-return type mirror. 650D has an electronically-controlled, focal-plane shutter with 1/4000 seconds to 1/30 seconds shutter speed. It provides 4 different AF methods to choose from; face + tracking, FlexiZone – multi, FlexiZone – single, and quick mode. The camera also supports enhanced Movie shooting with Movie Servo AF. The camera has a built in retractable, auto pop-up flash and ports to attach external flash. Videos can be shot at 1920 x 1080 full HD mode or 1280 x 720 HD mode or 640 x 480 SD mode. Full HD mode has 30p / 25p / 24p frame rate. Built-in stereo microphone, external stereo microphone terminal, adjustable sound recording level, and wind filter are provided for seamless sound recording. Creative filters for post-processing of images include grainy B/W, soft focus, fish-eye effect, toy camera effect, miniature effect, art bold effect, and water painting effect. AA size or LR6 batteries can be used in the camera. On full battery, with viewfinder, between 470 and 550 photos can be taken, while using live view shooting between 170 and 200 photos can be shot or 80 minutes to 100 minutes of video can be shot. Body only weighs approximately 520 grams. Available as body only, EOS 650D kit (body and EF S18-55 IS II lens), or EOS 650D kit II (body and EF S18-135 IS STM lens).
